Vyral - AI-Powered Short-Form Video Generator SaaS Platform Changelog

Version 1.0.14

Changelog v1.0.14

  • Added reference images to Image Studio: attach up to 4 images from your computer or your Files library, then describe the image to make from them or what to change (OpenAI GPT Image models and kie.ai Nano Banana)
  • Added "Edit this image" on Image Studio results, so you can describe changes to an image you just generated
  • Improved the Image Studio form with Content, Format, Look and Estimated cost sections, a hint under each field and an example prompt
  • Improved the kie.ai price shown in the admin AI provider settings, which now names the model variant it is for
  • Fixed the admin AI provider settings showing a lower price for kie.ai video models than kie.ai actually charges

Version 1.0.13

Changelog v1.0.13

  • Fixed Image Studio making only the first image and then stalling when 2 to 4 variations were requested on MySQL servers

Version 1.0.12

Changelog v1.0.12

  • Fixed one-click updates (Auto Update add-on) not restarting the background workers, which left background jobs (such as video generation and Image Studio) and live updates running the previous version until they were restarted by hand. If you update from 1.0.11 or earlier with a one-click update, restart the workers once afterwards, as the Upgrade Guide describes.
  • Fixed Image Studio generations that could stay stuck in progress forever with their credits held. A generation that makes no progress for 30 minutes is now stopped automatically: images already made are kept, and the unused credits are refunded.

Version 1.0.11

Changelog v1.0.11

  • New Files library: upload your images, videos and audio, sort them into folders and use them as scene images or clips in the editor, with a storage limit per plan
  • New "My media" option on New Project that builds a video from up to 100 of your own images and videos
  • New Image studio, on plans that include it: generate up to four images from a prompt, with style presets, and save them to your Files library
  • New brand kit, on plans that include it: your logo, colours and caption font, which you can apply to a project from the editor
  • New videos without a voiceover, with scenes timed to reading pace and evenly timed captions, plus a Voiceover switch in the editor
  • New project version history: a version is saved after each successful render, and the last 10 can be restored from the editor
  • Added a maximum video length setting to each plan, with support for longer videos
  • Added trimming of scene clips to a start and end point
  • Added images, videos and extra audio tracks on the editor timeline
  • Added scene duplicate, split and merge, narration trimming, voice volume, scene motion presets, and fades for clips and music
  • Added timeline tools: split at playhead, copy, paste and duplicate, box multi-select, track lock, hide, mute and solo, snapping, zoom to fit, pinch zoom and a keyboard shortcuts list
  • Added caption export as SRT and VTT files from the editor and the render details
  • Added changing the voice and caption settings after a project is created
  • Added render builder versions in the admin panel, with an Update needed badge and an alert for outdated builders
  • Updated clip upload, which is now available on every plan
  • Updated the admin panel: Onboarding is now called Guided Tours and lives at /admin/guided-tours, and the sidebar is grouped into sections
  • Updated the documentation for all of the above
  • Improved the editor on phones, and its accessibility for screen readers and keyboard users
  • Improved editor speed with scene thumbnails and smoother playback
  • Improved regenerating a scene image or clip, which now asks for confirmation and shows the credit cost
  • Improved render progress with a Finishing video step while the final file is encoded
  • Fixed music tracks, art styles and caption presets added by an admin not being offered on any plan; ones added before this update are made available on every plan
  • Fixed starting the same re-render or scene regeneration twice at once, which could charge credits twice
  • Fixed a cancelled or stuck render losing a scene's previous image, voice or clip
  • Fixed regenerating a scene after reordering scenes overwriting another scene's files
  • Fixed editor changes made just before leaving the page not being saved, and several undo and redo issues
  • Fixed timeline trimming while zoomed in or out, and waveforms not matching the rendered audio
  • Fixed generated videos running longer than the chosen length when transitions or the outro were used
  • Fixed re-rendering a fully generated video failing when an AI provider it no longer needs is not configured

Version 1.0.10

Changelog v1.0.10

  • Improved: a project that could not be generated now shows why (for example a YouTube video with no captions, or a missing API key), in the user's own language
  • Fixed failure messages in the editor and on the automations page showing in English instead of the user's language
  • Fixed YouTube live links (youtube.com/live/...) always failing as "video unavailable"
  • Fixed premium payment add-ons showing "Files missing" after upload on Linux servers
  • Fixed, for Auto Update add-on users: after a manual upgrade, the Updates tab no longer offers a builder update it cannot install, and shows "Manual update needed" instead
  • Fixed the render builder still using the previous release's video composition after only its program was updated, as one-click builder updates do, so exports could differ from the editor preview
  • Fixed the VPS installer overwriting saved passwords when run again on a finished install; it now stops and points to the Upgrade Guide
  • Fixed a resumed VPS install wrongly reporting that the admin account could not be created
  • Improved VPS installer security: database, admin, Reverb, purchase code and builder secrets no longer appear in the server's process list
  • Improved the render builder logs: they now record why a YouTube transcript fetch failed, and unusual characters in a video link can no longer garble them
  • Updated the documentation to match the current product, including the YouTube captions requirement and a new guide for updating the builder after a manual upgrade

Version 1.0.9

Changelog v1.0.9

  • Fixed one-click updates (Auto Update add-on) leaving the site in maintenance mode for good when the update process was stopped partway through. The watchdog that restores the backup now runs while the site is in maintenance mode
  • Fixed one-click update rollbacks failing on MySQL when the database user lacks the global PROCESS privilege, because an error message was being written into the database backup. A backup that was cut short is now also rejected before the update goes ahead
  • Fixed one-click update rollbacks failing on MySQL servers with GTID enabled, as used by some managed database services
  • Fixed a failed one-click update on MySQL leaving behind new database tables that made every later update fail with "table already exists"
  • Fixed one-click updates on SQLite databases: the backup could miss the most recent changes, and a rollback could fail to fully restore the database
  • Fixed the Updates tab staying stuck on an update in progress, with no buttons, when that update never actually started
  • Improved one-click updates to check that every file can be written before anything changes. If some cannot be written (usually because files were copied in as root during a manual update), the update stops, leaves the site as it was, and shows the command that fixes the file ownership
  • Improved one-click updates so that if the automatic rollback itself fails, the site stays in maintenance mode instead of serving a half-updated install, and admins get an in-app notification naming the backup to restore
  • Improved one-click update error messages to include what the backup and restore tools actually reported
  • Updated the documentation: the Upgrade Guide now describes the file-permission check and what happens when a rollback fails

Version 1.0.8

Changelog v1.0.8

  • Fixed saving a plan in the admin panel sometimes failing with a "page not found" error, so the changes were never saved
  • Fixed one-click updates (Auto Update add-on) never starting after pressing Update now, which also blocked later automatic updates
  • Fixed the first update progress message appearing in English when the admin panel is in another language
  • Fixed the admin Plugins page failing to open when a plugin's files were incomplete, for example after a failed upload. Such a plugin is now listed with a warning and an option to remove it; the built-in Bank Transfer and PayPal plugins instead explain how to restore their files
  • Fixed credit packs keeping, and charging in, the old store currency after the currency was changed. Saving General Settings now updates every pack; prices are kept as entered, not converted
  • Fixed captions and text overlays rendering too large or too small in videos exported at resolutions other than 1080p
  • Fixed a thin strip of background that could appear at the edge of still-image scenes near their end in 480p portrait videos
  • Fixed error messages in the installer, upgrader and updates screen pointing to a log file that does not exist. They now point to the dated log files in storage/logs/
  • Updated the documentation: the Upgrade Guide now restores file ownership after a manual update, and Troubleshooting covers the "Permission denied" error when uploading a plugin

Version 1.0.7

Changelog v1.0.7

  • Fixed a temporary image provider outage failing the whole video instead of retrying automatically
  • Improved the message shown when image generation fails, so it names the image step and gives the provider's reason instead of only saying the render did not finish
  • Fixed image generation that kept failing being allowed to run past the render time limit, which could leave a scene stuck with no image and no explanation
  • Fixed a render that hit its time limit on the render server continuing to run in the background, keeping the server busy and never reporting the timeout
  • Updated the documentation to explain that the render time limit is a deadline for a 1080p30 render that scales with resolution and frame rate

Version 1.0.6

Changelog v1.0.6

  • New: change the voice speed of an existing project from the editor's Settings panel. Every scene with narration is re-recorded at the new speed, with captions re-aligned when they are on, and the credit cost is shown before you confirm. Not available while a render is running or while the project has an empty scene
  • Added HappyHorse 1.0, HappyHorse 1.1 and Veo 3.1 to the kie.ai video models you can choose in AI providers. Veo 3.1 makes clips of up to 8 seconds, so a longer scene gets an 8-second clip and is charged for 8 seconds
  • Updated: the voice speed on the create form now shows two decimal places, matching the editor's slider
  • Updated Japanese wording for voice speed messages
  • Improved OpenAI image generation: when OpenAI's safety filter refuses a scene image, it is retried with gentler, non-graphic wording instead of failing the video. A second refusal still fails as before
  • Improved editor errors when starting a render, regenerating a scene's image, clip or voiceover, or re-recording a scene: when a required AI provider is not set up, the message now says so instead of showing a generic failure
  • Fixed renders stalling and then failing when a video used a heavy transition such as Film burn on a render server without a graphics card. A transition too slow for the server to draw now plays as a cross-fade instead
  • Fixed kie.ai video clips failing when kie replied "Internal Error, Please try again later." without charging for the task. The clip is now retried automatically, as it already was for kie's shorter "Internal Error" reply
  • Fixed the project card telling you to open a failed project to retry even when the editor could not open it. The card now points to its Retry button, or says only that the render did not finish when it cannot be retried. The message wraps to two lines instead of being cut off, and the Retry and Delete buttons show a tooltip
  • Fixed the editor showing "Failed to save text" when moving, lifting or reattaching a picture or narration clip failed. It now says "Failed to save changes"
  • Fixed an error message appearing while a text layer was empty, for example while retyping it. An empty text layer is not saved, so delete the layer if you want it gone

Version 1.0.5

Changelog v1.0.5

  • Fixed General Settings refusing to save while the default Brand colour theme was selected
  • Fixed the landing page staying lime green whatever colour theme was chosen in Settings; it now follows the selected theme, including its accent colours and focus outlines
  • Fixed a whole video failing and being refunded when kie.ai dropped one of its AI-animated scene clips on its own side without charging for it; a fresh clip now starts automatically while there is still time
  • Fixed a rare case where a video running out of time could still start a paid kie.ai clip that was never used
  • Fixed kie.ai scene images returned as WebP, JPEG or GIF (such as Imagen 4 Fast's WebP) being stored under a .png name without conversion; they are now converted to real PNG

Version 1.0.4

Changelog v1.0.4

  • New: delete finished projects straight from their card in your library, and every project delete now asks for confirmation first
  • Added support for the Auto Update add-on (sold separately): check for and install new releases from the admin panel, with an automatic backup and rollback
  • Added Hailuo 2.3 Standard, Hailuo 2.3 Pro, Hailuo 02 Standard and MiniMax H3 to the kie.ai video models
  • Added an option to remove a plan's uploaded watermark image
  • Updated the installer and setup script to explain that entering a purchase code turns on error reporting
  • Updated the documentation throughout, with new sections on narration language, caption fonts, deleting projects, transitions, guided tours and the Auto Update add-on
  • Fixed the editor refusing to open a project whose first generation failed but whose retry succeeded
  • Fixed a "could not be generated" message showing while a retry was still running
  • Fixed "Reset to original" doing nothing on projects that needed a retry
  • Fixed the render progress screen getting stuck when live updates do not arrive; it now keeps updating and shows why a render failed
  • Fixed videos failing when kie.ai was temporarily unable to write the script; they now wait and try again
  • Fixed videos failing on kie.ai's Imagen 4 Fast and Seedream image models
  • Fixed kie.ai's Gemini 2.5 Flash model, which could not write scripts
  • Fixed upgraded sites that still refused to generate videos because no AI provider was marked as the default
  • Fixed the cursor jumping, words repeating and focus being lost while editing text in the Script panel
  • Fixed cut-off word fragments such as "кор--" appearing in captions
  • Fixed new built-in fonts, styles and presets not reaching sites upgraded through the browser when a release had no database changes
  • Fixed the setup script reporting SSL certificates as missing after a resumed install
  • Improved voice previews when creating a video, which now play in the chosen narration language
  • Improved watermarks: a plan without its own image now uses your site logo, then the default watermark
  • Improved the timeline ruler, which can now be clicked to jump and dragged to scrub
  • Improved the editor layout so Play and the timecode line up with the preview
  • Improved adding an ElevenLabs voice provider: the Active switch stays off until the first save, with the reason shown

Version 1.0.3

Changelog v1.0.3

  • Fixed the guided tour locking up the screen on mobile, where nothing responded until the page was reloaded
  • Fixed the Landing Builder not saving, which failed with an error on most sections and silently discarded changes on the call-to-action section
  • Fixed the Landing Builder refusing to save a language that had nothing saved in it yet
  • Fixed deleting a Landing Builder item giving no warning that it is removed from every language; it now asks first
  • Fixed a newly added AI provider never being used for generation even after its connection test passed
  • Fixed the credit estimate quoting a price for a render the install cannot run; it now says the AI providers are not fully configured instead
  • Fixed new server installs leaving the Broadcasting settings page blank, where saving that empty form switched off realtime
  • Fixed the installer's background services (queue, realtime and renderer) stopping as soon as the setup session was closed
  • Fixed the installer deleting the generated admin password file before it was shown
  • Fixed a failed SSL step being recorded as complete, so a resumed install never retried it
  • Improved the admin Test Email, which now refuses to run when the mail settings are incomplete and no longer calls a message delivered when the mail server has only accepted it
  • Improved the mobile menu on narrow screens so the strip beside it stays tappable to close it
  • Improved AI credential handling: keys are managed only in the admin panel, never through the environment file

Version 1.0.2

Changelog v1.0.2

  • New "How it works" section on the landing page, with steps you can reorder, reword, translate or switch off like any other section
  • New sample video in the landing page hero, playing a real render instead of an illustration
  • Added a frequently asked questions section to the landing page, switched on by default
  • Added the option to play a video in the showcase section, and to point it at any finished project on your install
  • Added operator control over which landing sections appear as navigation tabs, chosen per section in the landing builder
  • Added rich search-engine data for the FAQ and pricing, so listings can show questions and plan prices
  • Updated the Free plan to include 20 monthly credits, enough for a first video preview
  • Updated the landing page copy so the plan descriptions, the music library and the free tier describe what the product actually does
  • Updated share previews to show the site tagline instead of just the site name
  • Improved landing page design and accessibility, including one consistent brand colour across light and dark, a visible keyboard focus ring, real headings for plan names, a skip link, a support link in the footer, a yearly saving badge calculated from your own prices, and lighter showcase images that no longer shift the layout as they load
  • Improved first-load speed for visitors who are not signed in, which no longer downloads the whole application in the background
  • Fixed the Japanese landing page showing its hero labels, page title and share tags in English
  • Fixed invoices printing the site tagline in the wrong language for customers on a non-English locale

Version 1.0.1

Changelog v1.0.1

  • Fixed clips in the timeline editor being drawn about a second away from where they actually play, and sometimes greyed out as "never renders" while playing fine
  • Fixed clicking a line in the Script panel jumping to the wrong point in the video, landing inside the previous scene's transition
  • Fixed the Script panel's "Play from here" button moving the playhead without starting playback
  • Fixed nudging or dragging a clip moving it further than asked, and backwards near the end of the video
  • Fixed the background music being cut short in the finished video when scenes use transitions
  • Fixed a picture lifted onto its own track leaving the transition into the scene fading from black, and the ending fading from an empty frame
  • Fixed clicking a clip's trim handle saving a change when nothing was adjusted
